David studied at the Oxford School of Architecture, worked with Eric Lyons, Dry Halasz Dixon and Austin.Smith:Lord, and he commenced practice in his own right in 1987.

In earlier years there were Awards for Good Design in Housing, and later developed his interior design skills with other practices, work included Twentieth Century Fox offices in Soho, designs for Book shops in Cambridge, and finally in his own right two fashion boutiques in New Bond Street.

Working with the former partnership of Crapnell Chamberlain Associates, David has been responsible for many Hotel projects. In 1985, he was been elected a Fellow of The Society of Architectural and Industrial Artists, and enjoys a reputation for both his design flair and presentation skills.
